1、高純二氧化碳主要用于電子工業(yè)，二氧化碳激光器、檢測儀器的校正氣及配制其它特種混臺氣，在聚乙烯聚合反應中則用作調(diào)節(jié)劑。
2、固態(tài)二氧化碳廣泛用于冷藏奶制品、肉類、冷凍食品和其它轉(zhuǎn)運中易的食品，在許多工業(yè)加工中作為冷凍劑，例如粉碎熱敏材料、橡膠磨光、金屬冷處理、機械零件的收縮裝配、真空冷阱等。
3、氣態(tài)二氧化碳用于碳化軟飲料、水處理工藝的pH控制、化學加工、食品保存、化學和食品加工過程的惰性保護、焊接氣體、植物生長劑，在鑄造中用于硬化模和芯子及用于氣動器件。
